Celebrating our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted judgement – March 2016
Our vision is to create a school community where children grow into happy, confident and responsible individuals, who work hard together to achieve their full potential.
I am delighted to welcome you to Manor Primary School’s website.
Manor Primary is situated in the heart of Ivybridge. We have 220 children on roll who are taught in 10 classes. The school benefits from modern buildings and a beautiful outdoor environment, including a swimming pool, a large field and many opportunities for outside learning.
Our school is a very special place. We pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere and our absolute commitment to meeting the needs of every child. Our aim is to personalise learning so that all are enabled to succeed to their fullest potential, regardless of background, ability or need.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring a solid foundation of skills in maths, reading and writing and building upon this with a rich, dynamic and inviting range of learning opportunities. Our governors, senior leaders, teachers and support staff are fully committed to ensuring the highest quality learning environment and experiences for our children.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our school should you wish to visit us in person and see what we have to offer.
The children may wear mufti in return for a 50p contribution—either red-themed or their book character costume from Book Week. (Please don’t go out and buy red clothes especially—any colour mufti is fine if you don’t have red at home)
We will be making a ‘smiley face red nose’ out of donated coins on the playground—please bring in any coins to add to this creation - let’s see how big we can make it!
We will also be holding a joke competition… between now and next Friday the children may buy a ‘joke slip’ from the office for 50p. They then need to write their joke on the slip and put this in the box provided. They can take the slip home to do this if they wish. The best jokes will be read out in assembly and there will be a prize for the winner.
Instead of biscuits, we will be selling very special ‘red nose cookies’ at break time for 50p each.
