Manor Primary School’s Eco-Schools Project.

In November our Eco-Schools committee, made up of elected pupil representatives and facilitated by Mr Hughes, started on our journey to gain the Green Flag award for our school and wider community. The programme is very much pupil-led and involves the whole school developing a culture of raising awareness of environmental issues and importantly doing something about it!

As a team we have already presented the project to the school with a powerpoint presentation, met with marine environmentalists and are now ready to carry out a whole school environmental review. This will lead on to us putting together an action plan for the whole school to get behind.

Did You Know?

A quick look around our own school grounds found an assortment of rubbish. Some to be recycled but most importantly some didn’t need to be used at all!
